Yeshivat Maale Gilboa, established in 1993 on Kibbutz Maale Gilboa, is a post-high school shiluv Yeshiva commited to educating a generation of young scholars who relate to a pluralistic and democratic Israeli society. The Yeshiva's diverse group of educators emphasize a commitment to rigorous Torah study, intellectual openess, and social consciousness.
Based on the belief that Talmidei Chachamim have a responsibility to contribute in all braches of society, the teachers at Maale Gilboa have created a broad program that addresses the needs of the contemporary student. As a shiluv Yeshiva, Maale Gilboa is dedicated to full involvement in modern Israeli life, and therefore obligates its Israeli students to serve a full 3-year tour of military service.
By training a new generation of outstanding Torah scholars who see their place in the modern world, Yeshivat Maale Gilboa is spearheading a new and important message: that devotion to Torah enriched with intellectual openess strengthens both our religious world, and society as a whole.
